Mark your calendars and book your appointments – beginning this Monday, January 6 STUDIO 3FIVE8 will be shakin’ up the SMALL GROUP Schedule and we’re excited to bring you all some fun new sessions, including: ABC (Alignment, Breath, Core), Pilates Circuit, and FUNky Fridays.

ABC will focus on proper alignment, breathing, and core activation to enhance the key components of fitness – balance, strength, endurance, and flexibility; and help to improve functional mobility for day-to-day living. Pilates Circuit is a full-body workout utilizing Pilates equipment (reformer, chair, jump board) and small props (TwistBall, resistance bands, toning balls) to build strength and endurance. ***Participants must have completed at least 10 private/duet Pilates sessions. Cost is $25/session. Cardio dance set to upbeat music, with fun, user-friendly choreography designed to get your heart pumping and your booty moving.

Beginning Monday, January 6, 2020 all weekday Small Group Sessions will require reservations. Reservations must be made at least 12 hours prior to the session. Late cancelations or no shows will result in $15 account deduction or loss of class from package. Sessions with less than three participants confirmed will be canceled and/or replaced with a Pilates equipment session.

All of us at Studio 3FIVE8 would like to wish you a very happy, healthy, and prosperous 2019. We had an amazing 2018 and it was made possible by you, our wonderful clients. As we look ahead to the New Year, we hope to continue to provide each of you with personal attention and custom workouts to insure that you achieve and exceed your health and fitness goals.  Because of you, we have created a fun and supportive fitness community at Studio 3FIVE8 and our goal for the coming year is to grow our community so that we may share our love of fitness and fun with more people!

I’m sure you all have been bombarded on social media with New Year’s Resolutions, focus words, #goals, #newyearnewme…and all those other annoying traditions forced upon us each year around this time. Yes, a new year is a great time to re-evaluate our lives – but for me, personally I find that the cliché fitness is journey not a destination(insert eye roll) better serves a long-term commitment to oneself. Many times we set lofty New Year’s Resolutions envisioning the end results versus thinking about the processes and the actions to take to maintain our best selves.  True transformation comes from the inside-out and it takes time, hard work, and commitment. The journey, YOUR journey starts when you commit to being the very best YOU possible.  The Studio 3FIVE8 team is here to support you on your journey – let us know how we can help.

Starting on Monday, February 5th 2018, Studio 3FIVE8 will add NINE new small group sessions to the weekly studio schedule including: Stretch and Sculpt, PYB (Pilates, Yoga, Barre), Centergy, Pilates Fusion, Fascia Movement, several opportunities for Barre, as well as a relaxing Deep Stretch session.


Jill Clarke – Jill has been teaching yoga and Pilates in the Lake Norman area for over a decade. She is passionate about helping her students achieve their fitness goals. Jill’s classes infuse guided principles of movement, anatomy, and JOY!!

Patti Schulte – Patti is a certified Group Fitness Instructor with five years experience leading groups in the Lake Norman area. In 2014, she was certified to teach Barre through the Core Barre Method. Patti is passionate about health and wellness, and loves to share her passion with others.

Ashley Royall – Ashley is a life-long fitness enthusiast with over 15 years of teaching experience. Ashley holds a Masters Degree in Sports Administration and Management, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and Health.

Margie Cope – Margie Cope has been teaching Pilates for over 10 years. “Teaching is not a job for me, it is a passion. My goal is to help my clients get the best workout possible for each of them individually. Classes will be fun and challenging.”

Utilizing the STOTT PILATES method of exercises, in addition to STOTT Pilates equipment, a program will be tailored to each client’s specific needs with an emphasis on core strengthening as well as, lumbar-pelvic and scapular stabilization. Workouts are designed to restore the natural curves of the spine and rebalance the muscles around the joints. Equipment workouts are appropriate for all fitness levels and excellent compliments to any and all sports

Vinyasa Flow – MONDAY 12:00N
Expect a more physical yoga flow synchronizing breath with movement. Postures will range from your seat, to your feet, incorporating balance, core strengthening and just the right amount of stretch your body needs to obtain a greater range of motion, mobility and improved concentration. This class is perfect for those not afraid to break a little sweat. Leave feeling invigorated, awakened and strengthened in your body/mind awareness. Although modifications will always be given, having some prior yoga experience is strongly recommended

Barre workouts bring in elements of dance, Pilates, strength and resistance training to create a fun, high-energy and fat burning workout that strengthens, lengthens and tones the body.

Deep stretches that focus on releasing tension of the hamstrings, hips and shoulders, which will provide more easeful movement of the low back, knees, improved range of motion in the neck and shoulders. No matter your sport or activity your body will thank you for this class.

Following STOTT Pilates Five Basic Principles: breathing, pelvic placement, rib cage placement, scapular movement and head & cervical spine placement, workouts are developed to apply the biomechanical principles and will ensure the realization of maximum benefits from Pilates exercises while incorporating complimentary stretches.

Slow Flow & Stretch – FRIDAY 9:00AM
 A smooth linking of unhurried breath with movement, intensified by mindfully holding postures for several breaths to several minutes, awakening your body and clearing your mind. A slower flow will give you the time you need to explore the details of each posture at a comfortable pace. This mindful approach will allow your body to deepen into a stretch or pause in a strength-building pose. Expect deep hip, back, leg and shoulder openings with longer holds to gain strength and increased mobility. Anticipate leaving this class feeling rejuvenated and aligned in your body as well as your mind. Great for all levels.

Yoga blessed my life in a time in a time when I needed it the most, as I believe it does for all who seek. I embarked on this path after a knee injury ended my long-time competitive gymnastics career. For many years I was broken and soul searching to find something to fill the void. Nothing ever did. After trying various types of fitness, I stumbled upon a little yoga studio in Charlotte, NC. I was immediately hooked!


Every time I took a class it felt like my heart grew a little more. I was happy again! After practicing for a few years, I decided that I needed to share this amazing gift of yoga with others. After careful consideration, I signed up for an immersive Teacher Training deep in the jungle of Costa Rica with Frog Lotus International hosted by, Vidya Jacqueline Heisel and Jenilee Toner. There, I received my 200hr Certification and a whole renewed take on life. I came back home to Charlotte, began teaching, and never looked back.

Over the past years, I have taught at Suryalila Retreat Center in Southern Spain, received an Art of Assisting Certification from the Baptiste Yoga Institute, and have also been selected as a Brand Ambassador for Clean Juice Bar. Most recently, I have received my Advanced Teacher Certification with the Pranashama Yoga Institute in Bali, Indonesia. During my time here, I was fortunate enough to learn from such yoga masters as Dashama Konah Gordon (founder of Pranashama) and Rae Indigo.


After this training, I was selected to work for Pranashama, assisting in online teacher trainings and have happily been doing so since the start of the year. I am formally trained in Vinyasa, but also incorporate many different lineages into my classes. These influences include: Kundalini, Bikram, Power, Yin and various Pranayama Breathing techniques. I am currently registered as E-RYT200, RYT 500 in accordance to the Yoga Alliance. My mission is to spread joy in abundance, inspire people to see the world, and live a happy, healthy authentic lifestyle with love and gratitude, Namaste.
